# Introduction (/docs/get-started)



Layers runs your marketing as a team of expert AI agents. You set a goal; Elle
turns it into a plan and points each agent at the part it owns — social, paid
media, UGC, and measurement — then they research, create, publish, and learn,
coordinated end to end.

There are three ways to work with Layers:

* **Use it in the app** — no code; the agents run it for you.
* **Have an agent use it** — point your own coding agent at the [MCP server](/docs/mcp).
* **Build on it** — wire Layers into your backend via the [API](/docs/api).
